    They lose their whole life, really…

    Think of it this way. You’re in a nice town. You go shopping with your friends every weekend at the mall. You like going out to eat. You spend the night with these friends once a month.

    Now, take the mall, your friend’s house, and 5 of your favorite restaurants out of the equation. Go ahead and knock the word nice out as well, since that town does NOT look nice. Take the bridge that you go to your friend’s house on out.

    And suddenly… you start to drift from them.

    Hurricane Katrina did not say, "Hmm. I’m not going to destroy the bridges and commercial centers, just the private property." It wiped out the Gulf Coast.
