Can someone suggest a link I can use to determine allowable write offs for a rental income property?

You account for rental income and expenses on Schedule E. The instructions for that form will tell you most of what you need to know.

Repairs and maintenance, property taxes, mortgage and other interest, insurance, utilities, depreciation (structures only, never on land) property management fees, etc. are all fair game.
