what does a new mall do to home property values?

i think it would depend upon your home’s proximity to it.. but also remember that malls have the tendency to decrease in quality as newer malls are built elsewhere..

probably good for values for awhile, but i think eventually it would decrease or stop increasing

    If you are so close that the mall overflow parking, makes parking impossible on your street,it makes the values go down.

    If you are close, but the parking and traffic of the mall dont encroach on your street, than it will make your property values up

    Yikes, well let me put it this way. Try to get your home re-zoned to commercial or use it as a rental property and move, unless you like kids.
